Rebate programs change often and many apply only to new vehicles — but several provinces still offer meaningful support for used EVs. The key is to confirm eligibility before you shop, not after you sign.

Beyond the sticker, factor in charging. A Level 2 home charger installation is a one-time cost that pays back quickly against gasoline, especially where overnight electricity rates are low.

Battery health is the used-EV equivalent of engine compression. Always ask for a state-of-health readout — a healthy pack should retain roughly 90% of its original capacity after a few years.
